DURIP award for new XROMM facility
Our lab received a
DURIP Award for
XROMM operating at 1000+Hz to enable new research on bird wing morphing. The
facility includes two large diameter fluoroscopes that record wing skeletal
motion in 3D while birds fly freely. The state-of-the-art facility in
combination with our new wind tunnel is a game-changer for bird biomechanics
research and morphing wing design.
